{"id":1047,"date":"2010-04-30T17:34:27","date_gmt":"2010-04-30T17:34:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/blog\/Internationaltmp\/2010\/04\/30\/text_direction_tests_updated\/"},"modified":"2011-10-03T07:41:24","modified_gmt":"2011-10-03T07:41:24","slug":"text_direction_tests_updated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/blog\/International\/2010\/04\/30\/text_direction_tests_updated\/","title":{"rendered":"Text direction tests updated"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/International\/tests\/tests-html-css\/list-text-direction\">HTML and CSS text direction tests<\/a> in the Internationalization Activity test suite have been updated as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HTML5 and XHTML5 were added as new test formats<\/li>\n<li>tests now use strict DOCTYPEs<\/li>\n<li>reference graphics in the vertical text tests were improved<\/li>\n<li>the order of tests related to browser chrome was changed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/International\/tests\/tests-html-css\/tests-vertical-text\/results-vertical-text\">new results page<\/a> was created for the tests about vertical text.<\/p>\n<p>Other changes behind the scenes include gathering of all tests into a single PHP file (generatehtml.php is no longer used).
