Right now the States and Properties module is a DTD, but doesn't incorporate the XHTML Role attribute. The XHTML Role spec provides a module but not a referenceable DTD. Should we provide a DTD that incorporates both the XHTML role and ARIA States and Properties modules?

Answer is yes, we should have such DTD. Editors to determine where it goes.

Discussed 10 September 2007 http://www.w3.org/2007/09/10-pf-minutes

Add XHTML Role attribute module to our XHTML 1.1 DTD

Note we do not provide a DTD for XHTML 1.0 or HTML 4.0x

HTML 4 uses microformat approach

HTML 5 is as yet undefined
