Assigned to Joanie. The group agreed that these should be deprecated. We just need wording that these attributes are deprecated and that alternative will be sought in later version of ARIA that takes into account HTML drag and drop functionality.

Richard Schwerdtfeger, 1 Oct 2015, 17:57:08

Michael to come up with a version of this:

This property is planned for deprecation, with a replacement, in a future version of WAI-ARIA.

Joanie, also coordinate text with Joseph for the Core mapping specification.

Richard Schwerdtfeger, 3 Dec 2015, 18:58:50

Joanie to come up with a proposal.

Richard Schwerdtfeger, 28 Jan 2016, 18:37:51

From IRC log during today's meeting:

19:35:18 <janina> bg: Weren't we going to replace somehow?
19:35:24 <janina> rs: Expecting proposal from jd
19:35:57 <janina> jd: I don't see my action as written currently. Do we need to update?
19:36:21 <janina> mk: Think mc is listed because mc had some specific wording to suggest
19:36:28 <clown> "This property is planned for deprecation, with a replacement, in a future version of WAI-ARIA. "
19:36:41 <janina> mk: We want to say "Don't use this anymore, we plan to replace it."
19:37:12 <janina> rs: So deprecate -- we plan to replace it

From today's meeting:

<richardschwerdtfeger> RESOLUTION: Accept Joanie’s changes regarding the deprecation notes on aria-grabbed and aria-dropeffect with the exception that it refer to a future version of WAI-ARIA and not specifically 2.0
