Then try out jed.  It's size is comparable to vi, runs under MSDOS,
MSWindows, Unix, OS/2, and VMS.  It also has an html mode that blinks
matching <>, color highlights html tokens, and more.  Unlike Emacs, it can
perform this on any color terminal as well as X.
