PKCS-7 Protocol
This Protocol provides an agreement to express secured messages in PKCS-7 syntax. Implementation might map from the PKCS-7 binary body encoding to a production suitable for further processing by Security/* extensions.
PKCS elements imply two actions: repacking as a header or producing a wrapped HTTP message.
The PKCS-7 parser also cross-codes data from ASN.1 into the simplified base64 used in Security/*.
It is an open question whether a PKCS-7 repackager can be made for operating in the opposite direction.
It is unclear what else is needed to support SHTTP.
