Storage and transmission

• The position and orientation can be attained from several different systems

• Spatial information shall be stored to the terminal, and only gained with user’s permission

  • If the information is provided by the network it still should only be used with user’s permission

• Transmission

  • Applications such as MUD require frequent transmission of information between users ? packet data
  • Position data gained either from the network (bearer) or from separate devices (electronic compass, GPS)
