Proposed resolution: accept

Change xs:decimal datatype to xs:double in the whole spec. This will unify number representation between HTML and XML. Also it will simplify implementations as xs:double is directly supported in all programing languages. xs:decimal is not supported everywhere or non-efficient representations like BigDecimal has to be used.

Add paragraph into HTML mapping section saying that xs:double values must be represented using syntax defined in http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/multipage/common-microsyntaxes.html#numbers (only difference is forbidden whitespace in HTML version).
