Key: pass fail partially successful

These tests check the default behavior of characters against the expectations in the Unicode Standard Annex #14 (Unicode Line Breaking Algorithm), version 6.1.0. The two-letter abbreviations are conventions for property names in the Unicode Standard. Non-tailorable characters have normative behavior in the Unicode Standard that applies in all normal circumstances. For more information about expected line break behavior and line break classes, see Unicode Standard Annex #14 Line Breaking Properties.

The CSS Text specification requires that these characters behave as described here.

SP, ZW: Non-tailorable spaces

These tests check that the two characters SPACE and ZERO-WIDTH SPACE always provide a break opportunity.

GL: Non-breaking ("Glue")

Characters with the GL property are designed to prevent line-breaking on either side of them. These tests check that that is the case for each of the GL characters.

WJ: Word joiner

Characters with the WJ property are likewise designed to prevent line-breaking on either side of them. These tests check that that's the case for the two characters with that property.
