login trouble

A few weeks ago, I could login to the www at "telnet
telnet.w3.org". Now my connection is being closed by a foreign
host. I also tried "telnet 128.141.201.214", with the same
results. Is there another address I should be trying? Any
information you can provide to me would be greatly appreciated.
