Files Controlling CERN Daemon
CERN Daemon versions 2.12 and later provide password and IP address

names, and other scheme-specific information. May also contains a
mask giving access to a certain group (people and/or IP addresses) to
an entire tree of documents.
- Access Control List (ACL)
file:
-
contains information about which people, groups and IP addresses are
allowed to access which files in a single directory.
- Password file:
-
contains the usernames and passwords of people that are known to that
server.
- Group file:
- contains the group
declarations (i.e. which users and IP addresses belong to which
groups) that can be referenced from the protection setup and ACL
files.
