Location Path

• Precedes the location step to "define" the context node
• By default, the context node is determinded by XSLT
  • the element which was successfully matched in a template
  • the element picked in a for-each
• Find a node in the tree
  • relative location path: sequence of steps separated by /
  • absolute location path: / for root, followed by relative path
• Syntax like path names in UNIX
• Some examples:

/doc/chapter[3]/section	section in third chapter of doc
*/para	all "para" grandchildren of context
//svg//style	style which has svg as an ancestor
