Comment:
I misread this initially as pubdate or pubdate="pubdate" were allowed, then as
pubdate="" or pubdate="pubdate" were allowed. providing an example of all
three styles would be great

<thetext>OK, this probably should have said something like “please provide examples of acceptable ways to write boolean attributes, and link to http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/complete/syntax.html#attributes-0 to provide more info”

Apparently this is because it’s stated in terms of the DOM, not in terms authors typically think about it (thanks Mike)</thetext>

Status: Did Not Understand Request
Change Description: no spec change
Rationale: I don't understand. pubdate, pubdate="pubdate", and pubdate="" are all allowed. What's wrong?

I've added some examples for boolean attributes, are they enough?</thetext>

<thetext>the lack of examples meant it was unclear that four different styles were valid. The examples you added make it much clearer, thanks. It would still be nice to link to 12.1.2.3, but I think it’s clear enough as it is</thetext>
