If contenteditable is true, this *should* mean that the *content* of the
element is editable, not the element itself. For example, if the user selects
&quot;mytext&quot; in &lt;div contenteditable=true&gt;mytext&lt;/div&gt;, and then invokes
execCommand(&apos;bold&apos;), this should wrap the selection in &lt;b&gt; or &lt;strong&gt; or
&lt;span style=&apos;font-weight: bold&apos;&gt; tags, but it should *not* alter the div
element to be &lt;div contenteditable=true style=&apos;font-weight: bold&apos;&gt;

Rationale: The section is pretty precise about what exactly it means — search for the term &quot;editing host&quot;. I don&apos;t think it&apos;s inaccurate to say that an editing host is editable, after all, its attributes and its contents are all part of the element and in theory they can all be changed by the user when the element is editable.</thetext>
