Status: Did Not Understand Request
Change Description: no spec change
Rationale: Does it have to be consistent? It's all valid, no? I guess I could quote more of them, or try to come up with some pattern for why things are quoted and why they're not, or something, but...</thetext>

<thetext>Even though it's valid, I think that quoting inconsistently sets a bad example for authors.

The spec can quote attribute values all the time, or only when required, but the pattern should make sense to someone reading it.</thetext>

Status: Rejected
Change Description: no spec change
Rationale: The examples in the spec intentionally use a wide variety of styles to encourage authors to not consider one style more canonical than another. There's really nothing wrong with this example, other than some people might find it better to be more consistent — but other authors might not, and there really is no reason to prefer one over the other.</thetext>
