          <short_desc>It appears that there is no way to draw more than one line of text per call to fillText/strokeText, so what is the point of discarding any line-height value set in the font attribute?</short_desc>

Change Description: no spec change
Rationale: The point is to not confuse authors by making it seem like there is something going on with the line-height when, as you say, there&apos;s no way to have more than one line anyway. Also, it means we don&apos;t have to worry about text alignment modes that relate to the line box height or inline box height rather than the em box height.</thetext>
