The &apos;demand&apos; event should fire on the canvas whenever it&apos;s apperance may affect display. It may occur before document&apos;s &apos;load&apos; event or much later. It is like image fetching from network, it should be up to the browser, when it actually fire. May be helpful in the future for canvas backgrounds (eg. using url(#canvas-id) in CSS).
