&quot;URI scheme&quot; has an existing official use which caused at least this
reader huge confusion on first reading -- RFC 3986 uses that phrase to
identify &apos;http&apos;, &apos;ftp&apos;, &apos;mailto&apos;, &apos;https&apos;, etc. !  Could another
phrase, perhaps &apos;URI approach&apos;, be used?</thetext>
