    <thetext>In the Microsoft DataTypes tests, test dtZ107447_a_2245, the schema ../msData/datatypes/test107447_a.xsd is claimed to be valid. However, it contains an element of type xs:ID with a fixed value. This violates clause 5 of Schema Component Constraint: Element Declaration Properties Correct.</thetext>

    <thetext>Agreed that these schemas are invalid in 1.0 and should be marked as such.

Note that XML Schema 1.1 removes this paternalistic rule, so these schemas will [presumably] become valid.</thetext>
