    <thetext>It seems we have oversimplified the &lt;termRule&gt; element. We had a term attribute to set to &quot;yes&quot; or &quot;no&quot; initially. Then we decided it was not necessary because we would always set it to &quot;yes&quot;.

I think now it was a mistake: There are cases where one may want to override in a given document some global external rule that says a given element is a term.

I would propose to re-instate the term=&quot;yes|no&quot; in &lt;termRule&gt;.

This would allow overrides, and be more conform to all the pattern we have for the other data categories, and avoid confusion.

The change would require a small addition in the examples 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, and 19; a small addition in section 6.4.2; and the addition term in the termRule attributes list ODD definition.</thetext>
