In 3.3.3.1, the prose appears to allow a leading plus sign in the lexical representation of xs:decimal, but the regular expression does not.

Also note: In 3.3.3.1, the sentence "The mapping from values to ·canonical representations· is given formally in ·decimalCanonicalMap·." appears redundantly. It belongs (and appears again) in 3.3.3.2.</thetext>

> In 3.3.3.1, the prose appears to allow a leading plus sign in the lexical
> representation of xs:decimal, but the regular expression does not.

The RE is incorrect and should be fixed.

> Also note: In 3.3.3.1, the sentence "The mapping from values to ·canonical
> representations· is given formally in ·decimalCanonicalMap·." appears
> redundantly. It belongs (and appears again) in 3.3.3.2.

Correct. It should be removed from 3.3.3.1 .
