<thetext>2 Basics

3rd paragraph:

"[Definition: An atomic value is a value in the value space of an atomic type, as defined in [XML Schema 1.0] or [XML Schema 1.1].]"

XML Schema 1.0 - "Atomic type" appears once in part 1, 3.14.1, which is marked as non-normative.

XML Schema 1.1 "Atomic type appears once in part 1, 3.16.1, which is a normative section.

The lack of structure prevents more exact referencing.

Atomic type does not appear at all in part 2 of either XML Schema 1.0 or 1.1 (If you are thinking of anyAtomicType, close but no prize)</thetext>

<thetext>XSD 1.1 part 2 calls them "atomic datatypes" and in a note says that "type" and "datatype" are synonymous.</thetext>

<thetext>I agree with Mike Kay. I believe this is editorial, and I don't see a way to improve this editorially, so I'm closing this.</thetext>
