I believe that for some time, the "inputmode" attribute was part of the specification. Or the validator just issued a warning that the attribute is not supported by any browser. But now, it seems that the validator says that the attribute is not allowed (bug 23318). Also I understand this conversation: [1] as that the attribute is not allowed. On the other hand, the attribute is still described in the HTML 5.1 Specification and it's also part of the Editor's Draft. So, can someone from W3C tell me whether it is *valid* to use this attribute or not please?
