    <thetext>Actually looks like only Chrome and WebKit do this crazy &quot;scroll to id=&apos;te%20st&apos; without decoding the fragid&quot; thing. So maybe this should be WONTFIX, and a new bug should be filed to remove the bad logic in HTML. (IE and Firefox just go to &quot;te st&quot; and ignore id=&quot;te%20st&quot; in the tests below.)

    <thetext>What is somewhat weird is that Gecko removes the %20 upon parsing in the fragment component as it does not do that in the path. It&apos;s not clear to me Gecko is actually correct here although any kind of change here is probably going to be very painful.</thetext>
