<thetext>The specs are approved and in the RFC Editor queue, waiting for publication.

(I can help with the changes as HTTP is now defined by 6, not 2 specs)</thetext>

<thetext>The specs have been published two weeks ago. Is there anything specific you need in addition?</thetext>

<thetext>I guess this bug is now mostly affecting Fetch as XMLHttpRequest's HTTP dependency is gone (still there through Fetch though).

As for what this needs, a patch to https://github.com/whatwg/xref/ would help.</thetext>

    <thetext>https://github.com/whatwg/fetch/commit/6c00fe28e7a361d2b7e0dda776ebccfaa4c439a5
https://github.com/whatwg/xhr/commit/90c79d0c0a5dff16266c4b6673eca8bb512343f6

HTTPAUTH was not entirely obsoleted so leaving the latest stable reference intact.</thetext>

<thetext>RFC 2617 is obsoleted by the combination of RFC 7235 + 3 additional specs. The latter ones have been approved by the IESG and will likely be published in the next few weeks; see <http://www.rfc-editor.org/cluster_info.php?cid=C202>.

Will update the bug once the RFCs are published.</thetext>

<thetext>Still does not seem obsoleted. Please file an issue on GitHub once it is. Leaving this as fixed per comment 6.</thetext>
