<thetext>On a web page with 586 links (!), only 132 were checked.

Though I use link checker every few months to check this page, someone just pointed out to me that the page had a number of bad links. The w3 checker missed most of them, but another free checker found them. I determined the number checked by w3 by counting the "checking" entries in the scrolling results window.

So this is EITHER a bug in link checker OR a failure of the link checker web page to announce there is a limit on the number of checked links.

Unfortunately, this problem means that for YEARS I have had a web page with many bad links of which I was unaware.</thetext>
