The html-aapi does not make these two details clear. 1. It's a string. 2. The elements mapping table includes the following sentence in the "Notes" preceding the table, as opposed to in a footnote referenced from the AX column header: "User agents should return a user-presentable, localized string value for the Mac Accessibility AXRoleDescription."
