<thetext>Section 3.1.4 states:

"The language used is as if the correspondences were mappings from XML
representation to schema component, but the mapping in the other direction, and
therefore the correspondence in the abstract, can always be constructed
therefrom."

Above is the original text. I suspect that the following is what was meant :

"The language used is as if the correspondences were mappings from XML
representation to schema component, but the mapping _is_ in the other
direction, and therefore the correspondence in the abstract__ can always be
constructed therefrom."

My changes are delimited by '_'. ( Added 'is' and removed comma. )

<thetext>I believe the original working is correct. It means to say both "the mapping in
the other directin" and "the correspondence in the abstract" can be constructed.

Propose to mark this one as resolved/(invalid/worksforme).</thetext>

In a perfect world, this sentence might be made simpler to read without
confusion, but it's actually clear now, on careful reading.</thetext>
