    <thetext>It is not clear that a distinction needs to be drawn between these error states. If we defined MEDIA_KEYERR_OUTPUT as an error occurred relating to the output capabilities on the client - including a hardware change during playback - this would seem to be good enough. 

We don&apos;t have an explicit way of requesting a particular set of outputs or output protection at the EME layer, so the specific error about the outputs being wrong doesn&apos;t make sense to me.</thetext>
