<thetext>Problem: We need to get the on-site chat back online to hopefully aid in getting feedback.

Solution:
The *optimal* solution is to simply iframe Freenode's webchat client. Pass it a query string with the room so it is prefilled and if you want to get fancy add a simple php snippet so it generates a guest username. Then it is done. It will have a captcha to help stop spammers and gives us the power to actually operate the room.

The system before was simply sub-optimal for any moderation (as was the reason it was taken down.) This system also reduces load on our servers, which is a plus.

Are there any downsides I am missing here?</thetext>
