    <thetext>Error codes are needed for
1. zero-digit being assigned to a charcter that does not represent zero
2. assigning a string longer than one character to any of the 7 properties that
are specified to be 1 character long
Both of these situations are already identified as errors.</thetext>

    <thetext>I agree with you that error (1) merits a specific error code; but I&apos;m inclined
to think that XTSE0020 serves adequately for error (2).

    <thetext>The Working Group accepted this comment, leaving the editor discretion over
allocation of error codes. Error code XTSE1295 has been allocated for the first
condition, and XTSE0020 is (re-)used for the second.
