<thetext>1) The URL of this bug performs validation of a page which contains the following @data-* attribute:

     data-က=""

(where the က is the 'MYANMAR LETTER KA' - of course,
in the source code, the letter is typed directly.)

2) The 'MYANMAR LETTER KA' was not valid in the syntax of XML 1.0 4rth edition.
But it is valid per the 5th edition.

3) PROBLEM: Validator.nu gives the following message when checking this data attribute:

data-* attribute names must be XML 1.0 4th ed. plus Namespaces NCNames.

HTML5, in its references section, links to the current - 5th - version of XML 1.0.
Polyglot Markup does as well link to the 5th edition.

THUS: There does therefore not seem to be any basis for Validator.nu's restriciton to only "XML 1.0 4th ed. plus Namespaces NCNames".</thetext>
