    <thetext>When transforming text, it may often be desirable to have the origin of the transform in the block-flow dimension to be the dominant baseline of some line of text. Such transforms are particularly used within Kinetic Typography to scale the size of letters or words in an attractive way.

At present CSS has no easy way to perform transformations from the baseline. I propose that the &apos;transform-origin&apos; property be extended with a new &apos;baseline&apos; keyword to support this use-case.
