There are *tons* of sites out there that rely on the table attributes for proper rendering, so browsers will probably never be able to drop support for them. It's just that you, the author, are no longer allowed to use them if you want to call your site valid in HTML5. But your old site will still work the same way as before, it'll just be invalid.
