<thetext>Specification: http://www.w3.org/TR/2011/WD-webstorage-20110901/
Multipage: http://www.whatwg.org/C#top
Complete: http://www.whatwg.org/c#top

Comment:
This API could easily be used by XForms implementations if protocols such as
"localstorage://" could also be specified.

Thanks!

    <thetext>Hello,

Webstorage is very interesting for XForms authors and, for XForms implementations written in Javascript, the Webstorage API can be used, without the author to have to write Javascript instructions.

XForms specifications already allow to use "file://", in submissions for example, to access files on local disks.

Defining, for example, "localstorage://" or "sessionstorage://" would avoid different names for different implementations.

This is not a proposed modification for the WebStorage specifications but an extension allowing to access such storages with an URL. Browsers could even display storages this way.

Thanks!
