<thetext>Specification: http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/multipage/commands.html
Multipage: http://www.whatwg.org/C#command-facet-accesskey
Complete: http://www.whatwg.org/c#command-facet-accesskey

Comment:
The processing model
(http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/multipage/editing.html#proc
essing-model-3) dictates an action to be invoked when the accesskey was
activated. Doesn't it make more sense (in the context of context menus) to
have the command selected (highlighted) to only visualize the result and thus
prompt for hitting return?

Status: Rejected
Change Description: no spec change
Rationale: That wouldn't match platform conventions, would it? I mean, if I open up the File menu here and press Command-S, it doesn't just highlight the menu item. It invokes it.</thetext>
