    <thetext>I think value sanitization for e-mail state when multiple attribute isn&apos;t set should be:

The value sanitization algorithm is as follows: Strip line breaks from the value, then strip leading and trailing whitespace from the value.

I do not see any reason to not do that. It may reduce errors and it will be consistent with the URL state.</thetext>
