The value must not contain any space characters." http://www.whatwg.org/specs/web-apps/current-work/multipage/elements.html#the-id-attribute The requirements seem perfectly clear, so I'm going to assume you thought this was an actual omission in the spec (maybe due to other specs' tendency to use formal grammars for everything). Since there is no such omission, I'm resolving the bug as INVALID.
