    <thetext>This is a bad idea, since it creates a bunch of extra machinery to make these things scrollable, which is highly undesirable.</thetext>

Change Description: no spec change
Rationale: If they don&apos;t want overflow with &apos;object-fit:cover&apos; they should set &apos;overflow&apos; appropriately. Making &lt;object&gt;, &lt;img&gt;, &lt;input&gt;, and &lt;canvas&gt; have overflow:hidden would affect their fallback states in unexpected ways.</thetext>
