<thetext>Errors that involve areas that affect authors migrating to and from XHTML

The spec says: "Some authors like to write files that can be interpreted as both XML and HTML with similar results. Though this practice is discouraged in general due to the myriad of subtle complications involved (especially when involving scripting, styling, or any kind of automated serialization), this specification has a few restrictions intended to at least somewhat mitigate the difficulties. This makes it easier for authors to use this as a transitionary step when migrating between HTML and XHTML."

The spec should city the Polyglot Markup guide at http://www.w3.org/TR/html-polyglot/ for advice on creating these documents.</thetext>

Status: Accepted
Change Description: see diff given below
Rationale: Doing anything to encourage this kind of authoring — especially linking to a spec that talks about how to do it! — seems like a really bad idea to me, but ok.</thetext>
