Since then, you've added the text "Except where otherwise stated, string comparisons must be performed in a case-sensitive manner", so I think this is clear enough by now. To be slightly clearer, you could change all instances of "to be the ID of X" to read "to be equal to the ID of X", but I don't think it's necessary.
