This document obsoletes RFC 2854, "The 'text/html' Media Type," as further development of this specification has moved to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

RFC 2854 defines the 'text/html' media type. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)'s "HTML5: A vocabulary and associated APIs for HTML and XHTML" has obsoleted this work.
