How does the framework work?
Two streams of IP multicast data are sent down along with the television signal:
- Content stream
- Trigger stream
These streams are announced using SAP/SDP, specifying type and time span (and possibly language, rating, etc.).
(Data “tuning” is left to underlying transport.)
