Rules

  • You have 90 minutes to build or sketch.
  • Work solo or in a pair.
  • Build it on the night. Reusing your own snippets is fine.
  • AI tools are allowed — just be ready to explain your process.

How to enter

  1. Create a GitHub repository for your project.
  2. Put your code and anything else you made in it.
  3. Post it in the issue thread for your challenge: title, who built it, what it does, the repo URL, and a screenshot.

FAQ

Do I need to prepare anything?

No preparation is required. Bring your laptop and a browser. If you plan to contribute to a W3C tool, you can check its contribution guidelines and set up your development environment beforehand.

Do I need to be a TPAC attendee?

The hackathon is open to everyone attending TPAC 2026. If you are in Dublin that week and not registered for TPAC, get in touch.

What if I do not finish?

Submit what you have. Sketches and unfinished prototypes are welcome.

Can I use a framework, or AI?

Yes. Any framework or AI tool is welcome. Be ready to explain your approach.

How is it judged?

By the room. Everyone demos, everyone votes.
