14:14:21 [Lionel_Wolberger]
Michael: Containment allows the isolation of an area on the page
14:14:35 [Lionel_Wolberger]
... content hidden advises the browser that some content should not be visible
14:14:47 [Lionel_Wolberger]
... is different from ARIA=hidden and is for off-screen text
14:15:01 [Lionel_Wolberger]
... Level 3 adds more features that do not impact accessibility
14:17:57 [Matthew_Atkinson]
Here's some support info on CSS content-visibility: https://caniuse.com/css-content-visibility
14:19:37 [Lionel_Wolberger]
Janina: APA could advise WCAG regarding this technique, and urge them to write examples
14:20:04 [Lionel_Wolberger]
Matthew_Atkinson: Using content visibility to visually hide things, but not hide them from assistive technologies
14:21:02 [Lionel_Wolberger]
... we are eager for WCAG example, explaining which Success Criteria can be met using this technique
14:21:31 [Lionel_Wolberger]
... should take existing techniques and show how this new CSS technique is relevant

14:23:27 [Matthew_Atkinson]
Lionel_Wolberger: As janina mentioned, the CfC for moving the Adapt Content Module 1.0 to CR is out; please send in your feedback.
14:23:45 [Matthew_Atkinson]
Lionel_Wolberger: We're working on all the things that go around the CR transition (announcement, 'blog post, ...)
14:24:24 [Matthew_Atkinson]
janina: We're going to need to write a companion spec to help us set up the W3C Registry for Bliss concept ID lookup, to map to the user's chosen symbol set.
14:24:51 [Matthew_Atkinson]
janina: This may happen before our second CR. There will be two CRs, as the first is using data-* attributes; ultimately we'll request a prefix.

14:33:31 [Fredrik]
janina: A thought: SAUR is published and was just announced. There is a wonderful e-mail on WAI-announce about it.
14:33:58 [Fredrik]
janina: That is not a normative specification. So how does WCAG take advantage of it? Thez will have to decide.
14:34:49 [Fredrik]
janina: I'm thinking we have groups to talk to at TPAC about SAUR. We have talked about it advancing to W3C statement status which may be a way to take it further.
14:35:10 [Fredrik]
janina: I shall be looking into this.
14:35:55 [Fredrik]
Matthew_Atkinson: We should build on it and the people working in that area know more about it because of the pooling of knowledge but it would be nice to make it into something that we're more exposed to, all of us.
14:36:29 [Fredrik]
janina: The synchronization of just the video and the audio needs to fall into something where everyone drops off. It's not just a11y. We reviewed a lot of research which we documented in this doc. It's probably reasonable material to createa a spec around.
14:36:43 [Fredrik]
janina: Teh Reporting API may want to report on that, for instance.
14:37:09 [Fredrik]
janina: There are reasons for wanting to have a W3C wide spec. It realy is a curb cut. Even captions is a curb cut.

Matthew_Atkinson: Sometimes game makers make acaptions opt-in and a lot of people opt in because they are in an environment where sound is an issue.
