If we say anything about child nodes in the accessibility tree but I don't think that is helpful to those who don't know what the accessibility tree is 17:14:47 jamesn: anyone want to take on raising an issue in whatwg? 17:16:21 zakim, close this item 17:16:21 agendum 1 closed 17:16:22 zakim, next item 17:16:23 I see 4 items remaining on the agenda; the next one is 17:16:23 2. Do we need them still? -- taken up [from jamesn] 17:18:31 jamesn: so we have these old test files. Are they still relevant/useful? 17:19:35 joanie: many years ago these files were ported over from the manual test tools...Ultimately we want to get away from this and over to some automated tests. I think these test files are redundant and not being maintained. 17:19:52 cyns: If we have other tests covering the same things, then it is probably ok to remove them 17:20:51 zakim, close this item 17:20:51 agendum 4 closed 17:20:52 I see 1 item remaining on the agenda: 17:20:52 5. With Harris' help we got axe-cli running. 17:23:27 joanie: my proposal is that we move the validator tests to the ARIA repo itself would make sense. It would make it easier for wg members to contribute. It would also be the first steps towards someone making a spec change with a normative statement, that same PR could include a test for that normative statement. 17:23:33 +1 17:23:37 +1 17:23:42 +1 17:24:24 https://github.com/w3c/aria/issues/1492 17:25:44 joanie: I will move it over to the aria repo tomorrow 17:25:51 jamesn: we need more folks creating tests 17:27:12 joanie: we also need people with validator interests to give us results 17:28:44 bryan: we have an archive of thousands of tests and their results so it shouldn't be a problem to get those 17:30:34 https://github.com/w3c/aria/wiki/Authors-MUST---MUST-NOT-inventory#12-only 17:30:47 present+ jcraig 17:34:47 jamen: so you create a test file for the given test and run a validator on the test file 17:34:53 I will try to contribute to some of these & write some tests 17:35:16 cyns: I'd like to suggest that we have a meeting and we can write tests at that meeting. 17:35:28 +1 to cyns 17:35:53 jamesn: If everyone could try to write these tests prior to the call, it'd be beneficial to know where you get stuck 17:36:04 zakim, close this item 17:36:04 agendum 5 closed 17:36:05 I see nothing remaining on the agenda 17:36:39 jcraig: I was wondering if there were more issues than 57? 17:36:48 jamesn: there were but they haven't been added to any agenda 17:38:07 zakim, who is on the call? 17:38:07 Present: pkra, Joanmarie_Diggs, msumner, StefanS, jcraig 17:38:14 zakim, bye 17:38:14 leaving.
