I propose we don't discuss TTML2 2nd Ed today. 15:06:51 .. We quickly go over TPAC 2020 15:07:04 .. and maybe spend a few minutes on TTML Profiles Registry 15:07:13 .. AOB, or points anyone would like to cover? 15:07:33 Mike: Procedural question for managing profiles - do you want to approve and merge the PRs? 15:07:49 Nigel: Let's come to that in the TTML Profiles Registry part of the agenda. 15:08:12 group: [no other business] 15:08:18 Topic: Virtual TPAC 2020 Planning 15:08:37 Nigel: I saw that TPAC registration is now open. 15:08:56 -> https://www.w3.org/2020/10/TPAC/Overview.html Virtual TPAC 2020 page 15:09:46 Nigel: We need to choose a time for our joint TTWG/CSS meeting and propose it. 15:09:54 .. That'd be an action for the Chairs I guess. 15:11:03 Gary: For the CSS WG the members are mostly in US and Europe? 15:11:24 Nigel: They schedule their meetings to suit West Coast US and Europe (just about) except 15:11:42 .. once a month they do an APAC-timed call to include people from Asia etc. 15:12:15 .. There are only a few hours in the day that are commonly acceptable for these joint meetings though. 15:12:36 https://www.w3.org/wiki/TPAC/2020/GroupMeetings I can view.. 15:14:03 Nigel: Looking at the schedule, it looks like 12th or 16th October could be available, in the 15:14:24 .. usual slot. I will ask the Chairs of CSS WG if either of those would work. 15:14:44 .. It will be a follow-on from the email conversation I've already had with them asking for the meeting. 15:15:03 .. Anything else on the joint CSS call? 15:15:19 .. Moving to the MEIG and Media WG joint call, 15:15:38 .. one of the other Chairs proposed that we make it 2 hours to allow time for all the topics. 15:16:10 .. I'll propose that we schedule it for that long unless there are any objections. 15:16:24 Gary: Easier to schedule for 2 hours and run early than extend if we're running out of time. 15:16:27 Nigel: Yes 15:17:48 .. Re the Privacy topic, we do need a meeting but I don't think we should try to force it into 15:17:58 .. a tight timescale of October if we're not ready. Instead, cover it later in the year. 15:18:04 Gary: That sounds fine. 15:18:09 Nigel: Anything else on TPAC? 15:18:27 Topic: TTML Profiles Registry 15:18:39 Mike: How shall we approve and merge pull requests? 15:19:00 .. Just a reminder of how we work. 15:20:11 Nigel: Our normal 2 week rule should apply. We need GitHub review approval before merging 15:22:17 .. any pull request and the person who opened the pull request cannot approve it. 15:23:02 .. For example https://github.com/w3c/tt-profile-registry/pull/78 has been open 8 days 15:23:24 .. and has no review so far. We must not merge it for another 6 days, but even then we 15:24:49 .. won't be able to before there is an approval, because of branch protection rules. 15:25:12 .. It would be helpful if at least one Editor who did not open the pull request would review, 15:25:26 .. and hopefully press the Approve button, and by default it'd be good for the person who 15:26:28 .. opened the pull request to press the Merge button. 15:26:39 .. I'm happy for either Editor to do it if the other doesn't have time. 15:26:47 Mike: Okay I'll have a look at that. 15:27:25 .. I'll also prepare a pull request for #76. 15:29:02 .. I just approved #78. 15:29:12 Nigel: That's great, thank you, I'll leave that sitting there until it's had 14 days in case 15:29:24 .. anyone else has any comments, and then I'll probably go ahead and merge it. 15:29:52 Nigel: The other thing with the profiles registry is that we should consider publishing an 15:30:08 .. updated Note. Can we use echidna, given that there's a publishing moratorium coming up? 15:30:28 Atsushi: I think so, I'll check. 15:30:31 Nigel: It's a WG Note. 15:30:41 Atsushi: I think we can do that. 15:31:04 Nigel: Okay, when we resolve to publish then we can consider the mechanism. 15:31:18 Atsushi: We need a resolution to publish somewhere, that's the only requirement. 15:31:54 Nigel: One thing driving this for me is that the IMSC 1.2 Rec was published but we haven't 15:32:04 .. updated the Profiles Registry to include its entry yet. 15:32:26 Topic: Meeting close 15:33:06 Nigel: We've completed our agenda, so let's adjourn. Thank you everyone.
