I am calling in

im ion

<LisaSeemanKestenbaum> sore throat.

<clapierre> scribenic: Thaddeus

1. Any comments on the https://www.w3.org/2018/03/draft-apa-charter.html as it pertains to this Task Force?

JF - Though one principal task was taxinomy but this goal is not in the charter

JF feels that our goals are not properly presented in the charter in some cases and the module indicates that we are looking at implementation

Lisa feels we dont want to limit ourselves within the context of the charter. It is a propsal vs a final document

JF has a concern that the charter is actually limiting us by presenting implementations

MC disagrees becuase of the wording and we should be going ahead. Janina clarifies the sentiment that this is an early draft

an early draft is not making any commitments by definition

sam would like to compare and contrast with other organizations with various stages which discuss the user problems

sam feels like the draft contains more solutions than users stories

<LisaSeemanKestenbaum> folks his is a charter. only w3c people ever look at it

Thaddeus had sent the COGA user study profile via Github

<LisaSeemanKestenbaum> which document? the user reaserch or gap analisis?

The link it on the GitHub issue for reference

<sgoto> https://w3c.github.io/coga/user-research/

<sgoto> this is the doc that i was pointed at

<sgoto> which is really good

Lisa's POV is that the charter is internal facing to the W3C. It does not nessarily need to be an introduction to the topic

MC suggested we do this in another document

The getting started docuement may be a good place for the COGA link

specifically coga/user-research

Janina is onboard with usecase and he feels like that aligns with the way the W3C works in general

<sgoto> https://tc39.github.io/process-document/

Comments on Charter and Deadlines?

<sgoto> FWIW, just as a reference on tc39 mode of operation

no comments

2. Review Thaddeus’s Pull Request and Merge it into the main branch if appropriate

<LisaSeemanKestenbaum> link to pull request in rawgit?

https://rawgit.com/AreaOfAKite/personalization-semantics/thad-tools/tools/index.html

<LisaSeemanKestenbaum> good point!

<LisaSeemanKestenbaum> +1 to thad

https://rawgit.com/AreaOfAKite/personalization-semantics/thad-tools/tools/index.html

<LisaSeemanKestenbaum> do we know if any similar work is done

W+

this is what I was going to say so dont need to be on queue

The goal of the work was to identify very basic gaps in the model

that was what I was going to say

lisa expressed my sentiment

one sec i dropped off by accident

<MichaelC> https://github.com/w3c/personalization-semantics/compare/master...thad-tools

I will clean up "General Tools"

and we could have more?

I will clean up the formatting

MC indicated there is flexibility for adding and renaming modules as per the charter

Possible action item to see if there are similar tools in place somewhere else for these types of solutions

sure I can look at that

Lisa suggests looking at ARIA 1.1 for breadcrumb

<sgoto> not sure if the same use case, but have we looked at http://schema.org/BreadcrumbList

<sgoto> ?

APA is another source for information similar to the confersation on annotations which may be useful for the help module

<clapierre> ACTION: Thaddeus to review if there are an other options which may have already done step indicator / breadcrumList

<LisaSeemanKestenbaum> Thank you thadeus for the great job

Your'e welcome. I know its just a start

3. If Becky has anything to share on her section we can discuss

<LisaSeemanKestenbaum> any news with implmetion for modul 1?

<LisaSeemanKestenbaum> coordination

4. Review any other work done by task force members may have done this week

Lisa mentions the work done on symbols by Bliss

and also work needs to be done on implementation for module 1

<clapierre> Lisa added that info to the wiki

Symbols by Bliss on on Wiki

Summary of Action Items

[NEW] ACTION: Thaddeus to review if there are an other options which may have already done step indicator / breadcrumList
