The capital of Portugal, Lisbon is a lovely river-side city close to the Atlantic Ocean coast line, Estoril, Cascais and the World Heritage Borough of Sintra, made famous by Lord Byron and Eca de Queiroz. Lisbon is itself a wonderful meeting place. Warm summers and mild winters are typical of Lisbon weather Refurbished in 1998 for EXPO 98 and again in 2004 for the Rock in Rio music event and the Euro 2004 Championship, Lisbon is equipped with state of the art facilities.

Located in the heart of Lisbon University District and the business district, ISCTE is in easy reach from the city centre and the Lisbon Airport (20 min by car), and it is well served by all main public transports: metro (5 min away), bus (1 min) and taxi.

ADETTI (Associacao para o desenvolvimento das Telecomuniacoes e Tecnicas de Informatica) is a non-for-profit research centre associated to ISCTE (Instituto Superior das Ciencias do Trabalho e da Empresa) a public University in Lisbon. ADETTI is located within the ISCTE college facilities.
