- 20:00:23 [Zakim]
- Some of the commands I know are:
- 20:00:24 [Zakim]
- xxx is yyy - establish yyy as the name of unknown party xxx
- 20:00:27 [Zakim]
- if yyy is 'me' or 'I', your nick is substituted
- 20:00:29 [Zakim]
- xxx may be yyy - establish yyy as possibly the name of unknown party xxx
- 20:00:31 [Zakim]
- I am xxx - establish your nick as the name of unknown party xxx
- 20:00:33 [Zakim]
- xxx holds yyy [, zzz ...] - establish xxx as a group name and yyy, etc. as participants within that group
- 20:00:35 [Zakim]
- xxx also holds yyy - add yyy to the list of participants in group xxx
- 20:00:38 [Zakim]
- who's here? - lists the participants on the phone
- 20:00:40 [Zakim]
- who's muted? - lists the participants who are muted
- 20:00:43 [Zakim]
- mute xxx - mutes party xxx (like pressing 61#)
- 20:00:45 [Zakim]
- unmute xxx - reverses the effect of "mute" and of 61#
- 20:00:48 [Zakim]
- is xxx here? - reports whether a party named like xxx is present
- 20:00:50 [Zakim]
- list conferences - reports the active conferences
- 20:00:52 [Zakim]
- this is xxx - associates this channel with conference xxx
- 20:00:53 [Zakim]
- excuse us - disconnects from the irc channel

- topic: f2f meetings
- 20:21:02 [ed]
- 20:22:03 [ed]
- preliminary dates: May 24 - 26 and May 31 - June 1
- 20:23:38 [jwatt]
- DS: spread around Libre Graphics Meeting so that the LGM folks can attend the last day and provide input
- 20:24:27 [jwatt]
- ED: doesn't look like we'll have a F2F in Q1
- 20:24:36 [jwatt]
- DS: agreed
- 20:25:13 [jwatt]
- JW: so the next F2F will be the LGM one
- 20:29:16 [ed]
- topic: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-svg/2010Feb/0008.html #3F
- 20:29:32 [ed]
- topic: SVGSVGElement 'width' and 'height'
- 20:30:37 [shepazu]
- [[
- 20:30:44 [shepazu]
- We're starting to get more concrete about the program of LGM. As said, you are more than welcome to use the spaces at Pianofabriek for the SVG meeting during LGM (and as artists / designers we are more than interested in the conversation too!); it would be good to know when you need what kind of space? How many people more or less?
- 20:30:45 [shepazu]
- We have several larger and smaller spaces available between 27 and 30 May; the actual conference is most likely going to take place from 28 to 29 May. Depending on your needs, we might even book extra rooms; I just need to know in advance!
- 20:30:45 [shepazu]
- ]]
- 20:32:12 [jwatt]
- DS: it seems that he misunderstood and thinks we wanted to hold the F2F during the conference
- 20:32:20 [jwatt]
- ...which isn't what we intended
- 20:35:04 [jwatt]
- ...so I'll write and sort that out with him

- 20:50:58 [jwatt]
- topic: Proceeding with SVG 2.0
- 20:51:08 [jwatt]
- DS: I put together a few pages
- 20:51:28 [jwatt]
- ...duplicated the 1.2 Tiny directory
- 20:51:47 [jwatt]
- ...this was a little while ago, so I forget how close I got to getting it to build
- 20:52:00 [jwatt]
- ...the best thing for me to do is probably to just upload that
- 20:52:13 [jwatt]
- ...I wouldn't mind working from a wiki for certain issues
- 20:52:51 [jwatt]
- ...I think if we start putting things in the including issues and things like that, we may only *feel* like we're making progress
- 20:53:58 [jwatt]
- ...we could have a spec convention or something to mark up areas of the spec that are in need of review
- 20:54:07 [jwatt]
- ...add that as we make changes that need review
- 20:54:23 [jwatt]
- CL: so put classes on divs etc
- 20:55:26 [jwatt]
- ...we could have classes denoting text from 1.1, a class for text from 1.2 Tiny, a class for unreviewed new stuff
- 20:55:33 [jwatt]
- DS: and a class for reviewed stuff
- 20:56:42 [jwatt]
- ED: how far along with the framework are you
- 20:56:47 [jwatt]
- DS: not very
- 20:57:01 [jwatt]
- ...I didn't want to just copy 1.1 text
- 20:57:59 [jwatt]
- ACTION: Doug to upload his start on the SVG 2.0 framework
- 20:58:00 [trackbot]
- Created ACTION-2725 - Upload his start on the SVG 2.0 framework [on Doug Schepers - due 2010-02-15].
- 20:59:31 [jwatt]
- JW: so what I'd like is a feed that gives you wiki style colored diffs of changes as they happen to the spec
- 21:00:09 [jwatt]
- ...because looking through CVS changes is a pain, especally when you just changed a single word in a long line, etc
- 21:01:11 [ChrisL]
- ChrisL has joined #svg
- 21:02:22 [jwatt]
- DS: our systems team is really overloaded and not open or even able to work on something like that
- 21:02:36 [jwatt]
- ...if we work on that I think we'd just end up hampering our efforts
- 21:03:07 [jwatt]
- ...maybe if Mozilla could sponsor that (or even other better spec writing tools) then I'd really love that
- 21:03:19 [jwatt]
- ...but right now we just don't have the budget
- 21:03:41 [jwatt]
- ...and whatever was put is place would have to be something that the systems team could administer
- 21:04:24 [jwatt]
- JW: I think if we pulled it off it would save time in the long run
- 21:04:28 [jwatt]
- ...but point taken
- 21:04:46 [jwatt]
- ED: when can you have the framework uploaded, Doug?
- 21:04:49 [jwatt]
- DS: Thursday
- 21:05:33 [jwatt]
- topic: SVG/CSS taskforce
- 21:06:03 [jwatt]
- DS: so we haven't heard back from the CSS WG formally, but I believe they said "yes"
- 21:06:53 [jwatt]
- ...since we can't meet with them in California because of scheduling conflicts, I'm going to suggest interested parties join in for 30 min or so on this or next Thursday's telcon
- 21:07:03 [jwatt]
- ...next would probably be better
- 21:07:29 [jwatt]
- ...we basically need to start meeting with one another to start making progress
- 21:07:44 [jwatt]
- ...or it's going to fade into "that would have been a good idea"
- 21:08:18 [jwatt]
- ...there's almost no overhead to create/dissolve a task force
- 21:08:50 [jwatt]
- ...I can start a charter for it, and we can discuss it further on Thursday
- 21:09:06 [jwatt]
- ...just for 30 min or so
- 21:09:12 [jwatt]
- ...get the conversation started
- 21:10:01 [jwatt]
- ACTION: Doug to start on a SVG/CSS taskforce charter, and invite the CSS WG to a Thursday telcon
- 21:10:01 [trackbot]
- Created ACTION-2726 - Start on a SVG/CSS taskforce charter, and invite the CSS WG to a Thursday telcon [on Doug Schepers - due 2010-02-15].
- 21:14:52 [jwatt]
- ED: we should look at the testsuite in more detail to make sure there are no bugs in it related to the recent emails regarding tests to the list
- 21:15:37 [ed]
- (that was about www-svg feedback)
- 21:17:41 [jwatt]
- topic: contentStyleType attribute
- 21:17:45 [jwatt]
- 21:18:51 [jwatt]
- test is http://dev.w3.org/SVG/profiles/1.1F2/test/svg/styling-elem-02-b.svg
- 21:19:23 [jwatt]
- DS: XSL?
- 21:19:34 [jwatt]
- CL: no, XSL isn't used inline like that
- 21:20:16 [jwatt]
- ...so it would only be useful for a future styling language that would sweep away CSS
- 21:20:35 [jwatt]
- ...so I'd be happy to deprecate it
- 21:25:09 [jwatt]
- ACTION: jwatt to come up with text for SVG 1.1 2nd saying contentStyleType is deprecated
- 21:25:10 [trackbot]
- Created ACTION-2727 - Come up with text for SVG 1.1 2nd saying contentStyleType is deprecated [on Jonathan Watt - due 2010-02-15].
- 21:25:23 [jwatt]
