Checking a Document before Publication

Every document should be checked for HTML validation, correct links, and spelling. This is easiest done by checking the draft in, and then using a special version of the URL to perform the check online.

• Use ,validate at the end of the document URL to check validation.
• Use ,checklinks at the end of the document URL to check links. Broken links MUST be fixed, redirects MAY need to be fixed.
• Use ,spell at the end of the document URL to check spelling. Many items listed will be ok, but scan for obvious errors.

Run the pubrules checker to check for additional items appropriate to the version.
